The INTENSE Program
The Taiwan Ministry of Education (MOE) in launching the International Industrial Talents Education Special Program (INTENSE Program) designed for international talents coming to Taiwan for study and employment after graduation. This program integrates resources from the government, industry, and universities, aiming to expand the recruitment of international students.

The first wave starts in 2024, with countries including Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Advantage for Students
- Free Chinese preparatory courses for up to one year.
- Free one-way airline ticket and necessary administrative fee.
- Subsidy for tuition and miscellaneous fees (for up to 2 years).
- Companies will provide each student with a living allowance of US$300 per month (up to 2 years).
- Students internship will be paid by the companies.
- A degree will be awarded after two years of study.
- Opportunity to work in Taiwan after graduation.

The INTENSE Program
INTENSE Program types

Bachelor's degree (2+2+ i / 3+1+ i)
- 2 years in Philippines + 2 years in Taiwan including 1 year of internship
- 3 years in Philippines + at least 1.5 years in Taiwan including 1 year of internship
- Two-year Master's degree
- Two-year College degree
- Two-year Post-bachelor's degree
Admission criteria for the INTENSE Program
- Applicants who have completed the second and third year at universities in the Philippines, or bachelor degree holders (fresh graduate) are eligible for applying.
- Applicants should have above-average academic performance in their university or college, as evidenced by class or department rankings.
Language proficiency
- For applicants applying to Chinese-taught programs, the Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) should be at least A2 level in listening and reading (with a requirement to reach B1 level by the second year).
- For applicants applying to English-taught programs, English proficiency should be at least CEFR B1 level (with a requirement to achieve TOCFL A2 level in listening and reading by the second year).
Rights and Responsibilities
- Graduates are required to fulfill a 2-year stay obligation in Taiwan. They may also be assigned by the company to return to their home country or another country to fulfill the employment obligation. Upon graduation, students who fail to fulfill the employment obligation are required to repay all subsidies and allowances received (from both the government and the company).
- Depending on the duration of receiving the corporate living allowance, students must fulfill the obligation to work in Taiwan, with priority employment rights granted to the companies providing the living allowance. If students express a desire to reside permanently in Taiwan, the government will assist in expediting their permanent residency application.
